Ducks add two more elite recruits, rise to No. 3 in 2026 recruiting
What a surge in 2026 Oregon football recruiting by Dan Lanning, Marshall Malchow and the coaching staff. Back in late June the Ducks had just seven commitments, mired at No. 36 nationally after some high-profile misses and decommitments.
Eight weeks later they've rocketed all the way to the No. 3 class in the country according to On3/Rivals, No. 7 in the 247Sports Composite.
Over the weekend they've added five-star edge rusher Anthony "Tank" Jones and five-star cornerback Davon Benjamin.
Their commitments mark the end of the 2026 recruiting season in that all but six of the Top 100 recruits in the country have announced decisions. Now comes fall official visits and "flip season," where new opportunities are created by coaching changes and team success coupled with failure at other programs.

Sinicki saves two runs with an All Star Cup web gem
Playing for Team Corrick at the AUSL All Star Cup, former Oregon softball star and Academic All-American Paige Sinicki smothered a hot shot at the hot corner, saving two runs and keeping her team in the game.
The play had a familiar look for Oregon fans and Duck softball head coach Melyssa Lombardi.
We’ve seen that before 😮💨@paige_sinicki ⚡️ https://t.co/el8I7bGHlQ

Benjamin pops off the film as an elite, twitchy corner
At Duck Sports Central, Scott Reed has a commitment impact story and a scouting report on new Oregon corner Davon Benjamin.
Reed writes:
"
The Ducks are not just stacking blue-chip talent—they’re doing so strategically, locking in elite prospects at premium positions in the trenches and on the back end."
"Benjamin is a twitchy, explosive athlete with elite stop-start ability and the fluidity to mirror and match any receiver. His change-of-direction quickness pops on film—whether breaking on a ball in zone, flipping his hips in man coverage, or weaving through traffic on a return."
World will be more than enough on the Oregon offensive line
Oregon three-year starter at right tackle and nine-year NFL veteran Geoff Schwartz believes transfer tackle Isaiah World from Nevada and LIncoln High School in San Diego has the potential to blossom into a first-round pick in the NFL draft, a linchpin for the Ducks' offensive line.
I’ve been very clear about my crush on World. I think he’s going very high in the draft after the 6 months he’s spent in the Oregon weight room and with AT https://t.co/sqzgkt1Wkr

"Ducks Wire" breaks down the highest-ranked Oregon commits in history
Jones and Benjamin become two of the Top 20 recruits in Oregon history, a list that includes NFL legends and All-Americans like Haloti Ngata, DeAnthony Thomas and Jonathan Stewart.
Of the Top 20, five are in the 2026 class, three are in the 2025 class, one from 2023 class.
Of the remaining 11, five became first-round NFL draft picks. 8 made the NFL, 10 became starters at Oregon. Only three transferred out, Justin Flowe, Thomas Tyner, and Canton Kaumatule.
