Payton Pritchard Collects 6th Man Award

Four-year starter at Oregon and former West Linn Lion Payton Pritchard won the NBA 6th Man Award Tuesday night, the only player in the league to score more than 1,000 points in games he didn't start.

The Celtic sparkplug set a league record for three-pointers by a bench player.

“Payton is a baller — and his teammates know what they are getting every single day in terms of effort, care, and commitment. For him to be honored with the award named after the great John Havlicek is a credit to all that he brings to the table for our team."

Oregon Football Recruiting: Top visits, Obot cuts list

Kelvin Obot, a 6-5, 285 offensive tackle from Fruitland, Idaho cut his list to five schools Tuesday and the Ducks are among his favorites. The four-star 2026 recruit is the No. 212 prospect and No. 26 offensive tackle.

Every season a team wants five for the offensive line. While it's great to pursue marquee names like Jackson Cantwell, adding foundational players who can develop over time is vital part of the process.

The Ducks are targeting key recruits at the Spring Game, a list that emphasizes quality over quantity. Visitors include Cantwell, Richard Lesley, Deuce Geralds, Brandon Arrington and Desoto, Texas wide receiver Ethan "Boobie" Feaster.

Shedeur Sanders stirs more controversy as draft stock circles the drain

The NFL draft begins tomorrow night in Green Bay and as many as a dozen Ducks could be selected over the three days.

Occasional Duck antagonist and football lightning rod Shedeur Sanders dominates conversation with his "playing for clicks" stye and flamboyant personality, and his fate in the NFL draft remains a predraft mystery.

He's a linchpin in that where he lands effects the needs and moves of several teams. Players like Derek Harmon and Josh Conerly of the Ducks might move up or down depending on when the run on quarterbacks begins.

Harmon and Conerly could both go in the first round, Harmon as high as ten in recent mock drafts, Sanders as early as 19 to Pittsburgh or dropping into the second.
