The end of the spring is nearing, marking a busy time of year for the Oregon sports programs. On the diamond, the softball regular season wrapped up this weekend, while the baseball team heads into the final two weeks of the regular season. The football team heads into full recruiting mode, joining Dana Altman and Kelly Graves, who have been building out the basketball teams in the Transfer Portal.
Oregon experiences a winning weekend on the diamond
Oregon Baseball takes another series, trending toward Regional host
The Oregon Baseball team had a great weekend, taking 2 out of 3 games from Washington, but dropping the finale does hurt. Posting a 3-1 week while teams ranked ahead of the Ducks dropped series will only help the Ducks heading into the two weekends of the year. The Grand Canyon series was canceled, and Oregon now gets to focus on the UCLA series, which could vault the Ducks toward hosting a Regional.
As things currently stand, 11point7 projects Oregon as a #2 seed in the Corvallis Regional with Oregon State ranked 14th, which would set up for an electric regional.
Oregon Softball takes 2 of 3 vs UCLA
Heading into the Big Ten tournament, the Oregon softball team capped off an impressive regular season, winning 2 of 3 games against UCLA. The Ducks won the first two games of the series, but the Bruins' bats came to life in game 3, preventing a sweep with an 11-3 win in the series finale. The Ducks will be the #2 seed in the Big Ten tournament this week facing the winner of Purdue vs Wisconsin.

The Big Ten distributes $48.4 million to Oregon
The Big Ten announced its payment distributions to each school, with the Oregon Ducks receiving $48.4 million. The conference's distribution number grew by $490 million compared to last season, with the new media deal kicking in along with the 12 team Playoff's popularity. The Ducks are still receiving a partial share, but the numbers down the road should be lofty.
2028 QB recruit calls Oregon dream school following offer
The football staff was extremely active on the recruiting trail, dishing out 20+ offers over the past week. Most notably, Oregon offered 2028 Quarterback recruit Josiah Boyd a scholarship. After receiving the offer, Boyd called Oregon "a dream school," instantly making him a player to watch for the Ducks over the next year.

Dana Altman nears roster completion
The Oregon Basketball team just about has its roster set for 2026-27 after Dana Altman added two players last week. The Ducks have 3 roster spots left to fill, but for the most part, the key pieces of the team are in place. It'll be interesting to see if Oregon holds off on waiting to see the new eligibility rule, as there's a thought that some players who would've been out of eligibility could return next season.
