Oregon Football Recruiting: Withstanding the USC surge
USC is enjoying a moment in college football recruiting. The Trojans are No. 1 in the country for 2026 according to Rivals with 20 commits, several of which they've poached from the Ducks. Saturday they added four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux of Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California, another Oregon target.
Even with the impressive recruiting momentum, it will take them a bit to catch up on the field or reclaim their former glory. Over the last two seasons, Riley is 8-5 and 7-6.
Oregon 2018-2021: 35-13
Under Dan Lanning: 35-6
USC 2018-2021: 22-21
Under Lincoln Riley: 26-14
The Trojans are having a great spring in 2026 recruiting. It takes a couple of seasons for that to reach the field.
Romero falls back at Augusta Women's National Amateur
Second round leader Kai Romero, a sophomore on the Oregon Women's Golf team, fell back on Saturday with a final round two over par 74 at Augusta Golf Club, site of the Masters. She finished in a tie for seventh with a seven under par 226 in the 54-hole tournament, after gaining a tie for the lead with 67-68 on Wednesday and Thursday.
As a freshman she shot 71-78 in the same event, missing the cut. Bernat Escudar of Spain won the tournament with a final round 68 that included six birdies. She's a former All-American at Kansas State.
Oregon Football Recruiting: The Empire Strikes Back
It's been a big visit weekend for the Ducks with stops by elite prospects. Four-star defensive tackle Daverin "Deuce" Geralds of Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia visited, the nation's No. 2 defensive tackle and No. 26 prospect.

Other big names to stop by the Hatfield-Dowlin Center this weekend include 2026 running back commit Tradarian Ball of Texarkana, Texas,
Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, a 6-1, 175, four-star receiver from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, and from Harper Woods, Michigan, the No. 2 receiver in the 2027 class, four-star Dakota Guerrant.

Softball Nine Sweeps Michigan
The Ducks won both ends of a doubleheader Saturday, completing a three-game series sweep over Michigan.
Lyndsey Grein Lyndsey Grein struck out five and walked none to cruise to the win in the nightcap, allowing just one unearned run to riseball her season record to 19-1, tops in the Big Ten. Designated player Stefini Ma'ake clubbed a three-run homer, her 13th of the year.
Melyssa Lombardi's squad is 35-3 for the season, in second in the Big Ten at 9-1. They take on Loyola Marymount in the Jane on Monday at noon, broadcast on KWVA radio and carried on Big Ten+ TV.
