The Oregon women's basketball team is back on a winning streak after taking down the Air Force Falcons and, most recently, the UC Irvine Anteaters. On Thursday evening, The Ducks hosted the Anteaters and built up a resounding lead that never went away.
By the end of four quarters, Oregon maintained a 28-point lead over UC Irvine to secure its ninth win of the season.
Guard Peyton Scott 9 points and found herself in the 2,000-career-points club by the end of regulation. Adding to Scott's point total, Katie Fiso and Alexis Whitfield combined for 21 points off the bench.
With the win over the Anteaters, the Ducks improved to 9-3 overall. Up next, Oregon will visit the Illinois Fighting Illini for a Big Ten matchup on Dec. 28.
Former Oregon quarterbacks Bo Nix and Justin Herbert faced each other for the second time this season but the third time in their football careers as the two Pro Ducks played against one another on Thursday night.
Nix, the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback, and Herbert, the Los Angeles Chargers' starting quarterback, went blow for blow as the two QBs combined for 52 completions and 4 touchdowns through the air.
While the game was just the second time the Oregon legends have played against each other during Nix's rookie season, the two quarterbacks actually stood on opposite sidelines in 2019 when Nix led the Auburn Tigers to a win over Justin Herbert and the Ducks.

The Oregon men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 21 against the Stanford Cardinal after nearly a full week off. The Ducks are currently 10-1 overall and ranked No. 10 in the nation.
Due to Oregon's success on the basketball court and the football field, the Ducks are one of only two collegiate athletic programs with football and men's basketball teams in the top ten.
So far this season, Oregon has been led by sophomore guard Jackson Shelstad, senior guard Keeshawn Barthelemy, and star center Nate Bittle.
