From Timberline High School in Boise, Idaho, the Ducks picked up a flip commitment from Hudson Lewis, a three-star wide receiver previously committed to Washington State and Utah.
In his high school at HUDL, Lewis is the fastest player on the field, a 10.5 sprinter in the 100 meters with leaping ability and athletic smarts. He not only runs fast but has the savvy to mask it, to change speeds in the middle of a route to gain separation.
He's tough over the middle and accelerates quickly, making plays as a kick returner, receiver and safety. In a game against Nelson in September the senior latched on to seven passes for over 190 yards and four touchdowns in the first half.
"His athleticism is unmatched," head coach Ian Smart said. "I've been around here; I've coached in Idaho for 15 years now. I can't remember a kid that has been as dynamic as he is on a football field."
Despite the lack of hype, Lewis shines as a competitor
Lewis has a ways to go to make the two-deep for the Ducks. The 247Sports Composite pegs him as the No. 1289 prospect in the country for 2026, well off the five-star status of classmate Jalen Lott or Dakorien Moore.
Receiver coach Ross Douglas has a knack for developing receivers and getting the most out of receiver group, however. This year's offense has thrived, even while depleted by injuries. As a track athlete, Lewis was undefeated in the 100-yard dash this spring, winning every meet he entered.
Lewis is Oregon's 19th commit in the 2026 class with early signing day about three weeks away, a class that ranks No. 5 in the 247Sports Composite despite its conservative size. It's flip season, however, something at which Dan Lanning and his staff excel.
