The Bo Nix era has moved onto the NFL and the Dillon Gabriel era has now come to an end. However, the move for Oregon to become the next QBU is nowhere near finished. Throughout the 2024 season, transfer quarterback Dante Moore played understudy to Gabriel but now, it is his time to shine.
Moore, who started his collegiate career for Chip Kelly at UCLA, transferred to ply for Dan Lanning and the Ducks ahead of the season. Before spring ball wrapped up, many were curious if Moore or Gabriel would be Lanning's go-to guy at QB1. After Oregon's spring game, everyone knew it was Gabriel but the promise that Moore showed had Duck fans excited for the upcoming seasons.
Now, with Gabriel reaching the end of his collegiate eligibility, Moore is the next man up and his teammates have shown an outpouring of support for their newest starting quarterback.

Former Oregon WR2, Traeshon Holden, who played second only to star wideout Tez Johnson, shared his message of support for No. 5 on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) following his declaration for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Oregon fans immediately took notice of the wave of support for their new starting quarterback as feelings of uneasiness started to calm following the Ducks' loss in the Rose Bowl Game. Lanning's recruiting prowess and the team's belief in Moore have settled Oregon fans' feelings about the upcoming season, at least a little bit.
All three of Oregonβs starting receivers have basically told us that Dante Moore is the real deal.
