Looking ahead to the Oregon Ducks' 2025 football schedule

While Oregon's incredible 2024 season came to an end at the Rose Bowl, the Ducks have a lot to look forward to in 2025.

No, the Oregon Ducks football season didn't end the way that everybody had hoped it would but going 13-1, winning the Big Ten title during the first year in the conference, and making it to the College Football Playoffs as the No. 1 team in the country isn't something to forget after the Rose Bowl loss.

However, as Oregon and its fans mourn the loss to Ohio State, there is a lot to look forward to in the Ducks' future.

From another star quarterback rising to the starting role in Dante Moore to a top-tier recruiting class joining the roster, Oregon will be just fine during the 2025 season – especially with head coach Dan Lanning still at the reigns.

So, with just 240 days until the Ducks kick off their next campaign, take some time to look ahead to Oregon's upcoming schedule:

vs. Montana State – Aug. 30 – Eugene, OR

The Montana State Bobcats are set to play in the 2024-25 FCS Championship game on Jan. 6 and will kick off their next season in Eugene, against the Oregon Ducks.

This year, Montana State went 15-0 leading up to the Championship Game, defeating the likes of New Mexico, Idaho, UC Davis, Montana, and more. Somewhat surprisingly, Oregon has never played Montana State before.

vs. Oklahoma state – Sept. 6 – Eugene, OR

Oklahoma State is a Big 12 powerhouse that struggled to find its footing during the 2024 season. The Cowboys finished their season at 3-9 overall, falling far from qualifying for a bowl game.

However, under head coach Mike Gundy, the matchup cannot be taken lightly, even though it will be played at Autzen Stadium. Oregon is 1-0 against Oklahoma State.

at Northwestern – Sept. 13 – Evanston, IL

Oregon's first Big Ten matchup of the season will be an away game against the Northwestern Wildcats. The Ducks have yet to play against the Wildcats in conference play but are surprisingly 0-1 against Northwestern throughout history.

vs. Oregon State – Sept. 20 – Eugene, OR

The in-state rivalry is back once again despite the Oregon State Beavers staying in the Pac-12. In 2024, the Ducks demolished the Beavers in a 49-14 victory.

Throughout the long-lived rivalry, Oregon has won 69 of its 128 matchups against Oregon State, a winning percentage of nearly 54 percent.

at Penn State – Sept. 27 – State College, PA

Oregon faced the Penn State Nittany Lions in its first-ever Big Ten Championship game and walked away with a 45-37 win.

Next season, the Ducks will fly to State College to visit Penn State in one of the most difficult stadiums to visit in the country.

vs. Indiana – Oct. 11 – Eugene, OR

Following Indiana's disappointing end to 2024, Hoosier head coach Curt Cignetti and his team will visit the Oregon Ducks in Eugene next season. Oregon is 2-1 against the Hoosiers all time.

at Rutgers – Oct. 18 – Pascataway, NJ

Yet another Big Ten team that the Ducks didn't face in 2024 was the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. In 2025, Oregon will make its way to New Jersey to face the conference opponent for the first time in history.

vs. Wisconsin – Oct. 25 – Eugene, OR

With Oregon's win over the Wisconsin Badgers in 2024, the Ducks broke a tied overall record against their new conference opponent.

Throughout history, Oregon is 4-3 against Wisconsin and will host the Badgers in Eugene during the 2025 regular season.

at Iowa – Nov. 8 – Iowa City, IA

The Ducks will get to take part in one of the most special traditions in all of college football next season when they visit the Iowa Hawkeyes and get to partake in waving to the children's hospital that is next to the stadium.

The two teams have faced each other three times in the past and Oregon has walked away from the matchup victorious twice.

vs. Minnesota – Nov. 15 – Eugene, OR

The final new conference opponent for Oregon will be the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The two teams didn't play each other in 2024 but have played against one another four times in the past. Minnesota has won three games against the Ducks while Oregon has only won one.

vs. USC – Nov. 22 – Eugene, OR

A familiar foe will visit Eugene when the USC Trojans come to town toward the end of November next season. The Trojans, who were in the Pac-12 with the Ducks, have defeated Oregon 39 times while Oregon has earned just 23 wins over USC.

at Washington – Nov. 29 – Seattle, WA

Oregon's other rivalry from the Pac-12 was Washington. The Huskies reside right up I-5 from Eugene and constantly prove to be a formidable force for the Ducks to surpass.

In 2024, Lanning earned his first win over the Washington Huskies when Oregon defeated them 49-21 on the road. Overall time, Oregon is 49-63-5 against Washington.
