Following in the footsteps of star wide receiver Tez Johnson, Oregon running back Jordan James and defensive lineman Derrick Harmon declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Monday, Jan. 6 after the Ducks' incredible season came to an end.
Johnson, who announced he had entered the draft on Sunday, led the charge for some of the star Ducks to take their talents to the next level ahead of the Draft, scheduled for April. James joined Oregon's roster in 2022 and Harmon joined the Ducks' ranks in 2024 after three years with the Michigan State Spartans.
Throughout his three seasons with the Ducks, James amassed an incredible 2,215 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns on the ground, alongside 347 receiving yards and 1 touchdown through the air –– despite playing behind star RB Bucky Iriving for most of his collegiate career.
Just a few moments after James had declared for the Draft, Harmon announced that he too had tossed his name into the hat in hopes of playing at the next level.
During his single season with Oregon, Harmon amassed 45 total tackles (27 solo, 18 assisted), 2 pass deflections, 5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. Over four collegiate seasons, Harmon earned 114 total tackles, 4 pass deflections, 8.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles – yes, his season at Oregon was his greatest collegiate season by far.
The 2025 NFL Draft is set to take place outside of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI from April 24 through 26. So far, only Johnson, Harmon, James, and wide receiver Traeshon Holden have declared for the Draft (as of Jan. 6 at 2:30 p.m. PT).
