It didn't take long for wide receiver Tez Johnson to capture the hearts of Oregon fans and college football fans in general. Now, after two incredible seasons with the Ducks, Johnson has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
On Sunday, Jan. 5, Johnson posted a heartfelt message to social media, thanking fans, his coaches, his teammates, and both his biological and adoptive families while declaring for the Draft.

"To Autzen – Thank you for welcoming me with open arms. You made my Oregon career a dream come true," Johnson wrote. "Every moment, from singing 'Coming Home' to dancing when 'Shout' played, was better than I ever imagined. I'll hold those memories in my heart forever."
Beyond being adopted by former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix's family while the two were growing up in Alabama, Johnson quickly became a crucial part of the Ducks culture. His vivacious personality and incredible on-field skills led to him becoming a truly beloved figure both on and off the field.
From being the Big Ten Championship offensive MVP to waiting on the side to congratulate Will Howard on the Rose Bowl victory, Johnson embodied everything that a Duck should be.
After Johnson's announcement on Sunday afternoon, Oregon fans from across the country thanked the wideout for his time and commitment to the program, not to mention his undying love for the Ducks.

- 2023: 86 receptions, 1,182 yards, 10 touchdowns
- 2024: 83 receptions, 898 yards, 10 touchdowns
While Johnson didn't necessarily smash any program records or lead the Ducks to the long-sought-after National Championship, the wide receiver will always have a special place at Autzen and in the hearts of Oregon fans.
The 2025 NFL Draft is set to take place from April 24 through 26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI. The Draft will be broadcast on the NFL Network.
