The Oregon Ducks hosted a massive group of visitors on campus this weekend for the second of several weekends of official visits. Official visit weekends are all about making progress in some recruitments while also landing commitments. The first weekend of official visits was more about making progress, as the Ducks only left the weekend with a commitment from linebacker Toa Satele.
This weekend was far more encouraging for the Ducks as several recruits who were nearing commitments made their way to Eugene. The goal for the staff was to close out some recruitments, and they've more than accomplished that goal.
Oregon adds edge rusher Achilles Reyna in incredible weekend haul
Leaving the weekend of official visits, the Oregon Ducks were quickly predicted to win out in the recruitment of edge rusher Achilles Reyna. On Monday, the predictions came to fruition as the Washington native announced his commitment to the Ducks.

The second weekend of official visits has already become incredibly fruitful for the coaching staff. Oregon have now landed commitments from 3-star edge rusher Achilles Reyna, 3-star wide receiver Malachi Garlington, and 3-star tight end George VanSandt. The news coming out of the weekend continues to be encouraging, and it wouldn't be a surprise if the commitments kept rolling in.
According to Rivals' Industry Recruiting Rankings, Achilles Reyna is the 909th ranked player in the country, the 78th ranked edge rusher in the class, and the 10th ranked player out of Washington. The Ducks are looking to land several players out of rival territory, and Reyna would mark a nice start to the haul.
The Oregon Ducks already held a commitment from edge rusher Rashad Streets, and adding Reyna was a positive with how the recruiting board was shaking out. Top edge rusher target KJ Green committed to LSU over the weekend, and adding commitments to the class at the position was key for building the room.
The Ducks now hold 17 public commitments while the class still ranks 9th nationally and 3rd in the Big Ten. After landing a flurry of 3-star recruits and in-state targets, the hope for the coaching staff will now be putting the finishing touches on this class with some high end commitments. The staff is well positioned with several of their top targets, and as they start to come off the board, Oregon could very well continue the streak of signing top 5 classes.
