2024 Oregon football schedule: When is Oregon Ducks vs. Maryland?
By Ethan Lee
The Maryland Terrapins are about to go cross country for a regular season college football game. Shoutout to Big Ten expansion shaping the landscape of college football. Because during the 10th game of the 2024 Oregon Ducks football schedule, Maryland makes the trip all the way to Autzen Stadium to meet up with Dan Lanning and his Oregon Ducks.
Just one week after the Oregon football team faces off against one of the longstanding, traditional members of the Big Ten, one of the (relatively) newer members of the conference gets to take a trip to visit one of the newest members of the Big Ten.
And that involves bringing an East Coast conference foe to the Pacific Northwest for the 10th game on the 2024 Oregon football schedule.
This sport has just changed so much so quickly.
2024 Oregon Ducks schedule: Maryland Terrapins make their way to Autzen Stadium
Mike Locksley has done well to present Maryland football fans with exciting offenses in recent seasons. The Terps get off to fast starts and look fun. But, well, they don’t really accomplish all that much down the stretch of the season once they meet up with traditional Big Ten powers that have a ton of talent.
As Oregon continues to navigate its new conference landscape, the Ducks aren’t a traditional Big Ten power, but they do have a ton of talent and should be a national championship contender this season. And given when this game will be played (again, the 10th game of the year on the 2024 Oregon Ducks schedule), there shouldn’t be too many questions about which team comes out on top of this one.
2024 Oregon football schedule: Ducks vs. Maryland
- Who: Oregon Ducks vs. Maryland Terrapins
- What: 10th game of the 2024 Oregon Ducks schedule
- When: Saturday, November 9
- Where: Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon
This is a great opportunity for Oregon to assert its home-field advantage and maintain momentum in the conference race. That’s especially true if the Ducks have managed to claim wins over both the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines by this point.
Because if that’s happened, then Dan Lanning and the Ducks have clearly asserted themselves as the best team in the Big Ten up to this point in the year. And that’s good. Here’s to hoping that that is how it all unfolds.
