Oregon Ducks news: Bo Nix at NFL Combine, WBB on 12-game losing streak, more
By Sam Fariss
As day two of the 2024 NFL Combine unfolded, quarterback Bo Nix spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on visits with teams.
Nix confirmed that he has met with the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos.
“I think they want to not only see your ability to command a room but how you may lead,” Nix said. “They want to use that time to see what you’re made of.”
The Duck legend shared that he has gotten to know himself better throughout the process and thoroughly enjoyed the visits with coaches.
“Make sure that they know your passion for the sport you’re playing,” Nix said. “I think that’s the most important thing.”
One thing that everyone knows about Nix is that he loves football. He continuously talked about how Oregon helped him fall back in love with the game after a rough few years at Auburn.
With five years of college ball under his belt, Nix is one of the most experienced quarterbacks entered into the draft this year.
“Sometimes the uncommon thing is the intangibles that we may possess,” Nix said. “Processing, preparation, passion for the game, and love for the game, the intensity that you bring: I bring those at a really high level.”
Coaches and scouts will be able to see his skills in real time on Saturday as quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers take the field.

Head coach Kelly Graves is seeing his worst season ever with the Oregon Ducks. Currently standing last in the conference and with an 11-19 overall record, the women’s basketball team is on an embarrassing 12-game losing streak.
With more losses in a row than total wins this season, the once-dominant Ducks have had quite the fall from grace.
Only four teams from Power-5 conferences have a worse record than Oregon.
In the season’s final game, the Ducks will face the No. 4 Stanford Cardinal. Oregon lost to Stanford 88-63 in the teams’ first matchup this year.

Defensive lineman Braden Fiske, former Florida State Seminole, ran the quickest 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine on Thursday.
In a blazing 4.78 seconds, Fiske flew down the lane. Also performing well in the on-field drills, the former Seminole boosted his draft stock in front of NFL coaches like Jim Harbaugh and Sean Payton.
The NFL Combine will continue through Sunday. Friday afternoon will feature defensive backs and tight ends. Saturday will see quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs. The final day will have offensive linemen take the field.
