Out of the 13 prospects hoping to hear their name called in person during the 2024 NFL Draft, former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix will not be one of them.

On Thursday, the NFL released the list of draft hopefuls who were invited and had confirmed their attendance. Among the list were top quarterback prospects Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels.

Also missing from the list is Nix's familiar foe and former Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Notre Dame's Sam Hartman and Michigan's J.J. McCarthy were also not invited to attend the draft in person.

Nix's projected draft spot has been on a rollercoaster since his last game for the Ducks. Without a sure spot like Williams supposedly has, Nix will be waiting at home to see when, or if, his name is called.

The 2024 NFL Draft will be held from April 25-27 on the NFL Network and NFL Plus.

The Oregon Ducks held their first spring scrimmage on April 13, in the cold and rain, the perfect preparation for their season at Autzen Stadium.

While the scrimmage was closed to the public and media, head coach Dan Lanning had promising takeaways for his team.

“We did a decent job protecting the ball but it certainly made things harder later in the scrimmage to be able to throw the ball effectively," Lanning said. "That’s when your running game has to show up, that’s why you want to be a balanced team.”

Transfer quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore reportedly had good showings during the scrimmage until the rain made it too difficult to have constructive passing plays.

Lanning shared that the defense got its "butt whooped" in the first half but locked in more as the second half of the day progressed.
