A look back at Oregon Ducks news from the past week: Dan Lanning hits another recruiting homerun, softball set to start their 2024 season, and more.

National Signing Day was filled with exciting new additions to Oregon’s depth chart. Head coach Dan Lanning’s recruiting prowess was on display as he brought home Duck after Duck.

The highlight of the day was five-star wide receiver Gatlin Bair signing with the Ducks. Bair is expected to be elite at the collegiate level and will make for a spectacular wideout for Oregon.

Lanning also saw Oregon native Gage Hurych sign to play with the Ducks.

Alongside recruiting director Patrick Biondo and the rest of his staff, Lanning has recruited one of the top classes in the nation. According to 247Sports, the Ducks only rank behind Georgia and Alabama, making them No. 1 in the Big Ten.

Softball season is back for the Oregon Ducks. The team is traveling to Florida to start their 2024 season at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater.

The Ducks enter this season ranked No. 13 in the country according to USA Softball. They finished last year with a 38-17 overall record and made it to the NCAA Super Regional before falling to Oklahoma State.

Melyssa Lombardi is entering her sixth season as the Ducks’ head coach.

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban will be joining the ESPN cast and crew. He will mainly be featured on the chanel’s famous segment College GameDay as well as shows involving the NFL Draft and SEC media days.

Saban had a 50-year-long coaching career including 16 seasons with the Crimson Tide. He has seven National Championships and 11 SEC titles in his trophy case.
