The Oregon Ducks are catching fire on the recruiting trail this Summer as Dan Lanning and the coaching staff have reeled in 5 commitments over the last 3 weeks. Official Visit season has been a home run thus far for the Ducks, helping vault the class to 8th ranked in the Country. The biggest commitment of the Summer came on Tuesday when 4-star wide receiver Dakota Guerrant announced his commitment to the Ducks.
After landing arguably the biggest recruiting target of the cycle for the Ducks in Dakota Guerrant, Dan Lanning and the coaching staff are looking to keep the momentum going on the recruiting trail. Heading into the final weekend of official visits, Oregon looks to be on the verge of landing another 3 commitments if the staff can finish strong.
Predicting the next 3 recruits to commit to Oregon
Xavier Sabb - Wide Receiver - 5-Star - New Jersey
After landing Dakota Guerrant, the top wide receiver the Ducks are after is 5-star New Jersey native Xavier Sabb. While Sabb has taken official visits to other schools, Oregon has remained the apparent front runner, and now the Ducks finally get him on campus. Sabb's two brothers play for Alabama, and he's taken visits elsewhere, but in the end it looks like the Ducks could close this one out on his visit this weekend.
Brayton Feister - Linebacker - 4-Star - Ohio
Coming into the Official Visit cycle, it looked like Brayton Feister would be the first of the visiting linebackers to commit, but Toa Satele shutting his recruitment down on the first weekend of visits was a big win. Brayton Feister has taken other visits including to Georgia last weekend so Oregon's presumed lead may have shrunk, but it's always important to get the final visit. Closing out the recruitment of Feister would be a major win for the Ducks in a loaded haul of linebackers.
Anthony Cartwright III - Tight End - 4-Star - Michigan
Oregon just went into Michigan, and stole the state's top recruit away from the Wolverines with the addition of Dakota Guerrant to this class. After landing Guerrant, Oregon appears to be pushing for another Michigan native in tight end Anthony Cartwright III. The Ducks are looking to keep the tight end pipeline flowing, and with a commitment date set for June 28th, getting the final visit of the cycle is a major win.
