It's hard to keep pace with Dan Lanning as he tears through the recruiting trail. Most recently, Lanning and the Oregon Ducks have emerged as frontrunners for yet another big-time prospect from the class of 2026.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho shared that "the Ducks lead" his recruiting process so far, despite Iheanacho holding more than 30 offers from Division I programs.

Iheanacho holds offers from blue-blood programs like the Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State Buckeyes, and more. Yet, Oregon stands out amongst the rest as the class of 2026 prospect narrows his search for his future.
The five-star prospect is currently regarded as the No. 3 overall athlete in the class and the No. 2 offensive tackle. So far, Iheanacho is considered to be the No. 1 prospect from Maryland in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports.
Alongside the Ducks, Iheanacho shared that Georgia, Penn State, and his hometown team, the Maryland Terrapins, have also impressed him during his recruitment so far.
At 6-foot-6.5 and 345 pounds, the 17-year-old athlete is massive and already has the build of a collegiate-level offensive lineman, if not the build of an NFL athlete.
Hudson Standish, a recruiting analyst for 247Sports, shared that Iheanacho has a "better-than-expected lower body explosiveness at his size" and "presents an incredibly difficult problem for opposing front seven defenders to solve thanks to his massive reach and top-tier power in the hands."
Iheanacho has nearly a year to reach the final decision when it comes to which program will be the name across his chest during his collegiate career. However, with the Ducks already emerging as frontrunners, Oregon fans can start getting excited about the future.
