The busiest part of the recruiting calendar is beginning for Dan Lanning and the Ducks as this weekend marks the first weekend that Oregon will host official visits. The next several weeks will be crucial for Oregon as the Ducks look to start building out this recruiting class which currently ranks 9th in the Country.

The easiest way for Dan Lanning and Oregon to start pushing their way up the recruiting rankings to their typical range around the Top 5 is by landing the high caliber recruits they're in the race for, and will host this Summer. One recruit the Ducks would've loved to get back on campus is Texas Native Ismael Camara, who won't be visiting Oregon or any school for that matter.

Ismael Camara cancels Official Visits to focus on school and practice

On Wednesday, elite offensive line recruit Ismael Camara announced on social media that he won't be taking official visits as he focuses on school and his final season of High School football as he's attempting to finish High School in 2.5 years.

Ismael Camara is canceling his official visits for all the right reasons and while he may not get to visit some of his top programs, it'll be worth it for him when he's able to arrive at college early. The original plan for Ismael Camara was to visit Oregon, LSU, Texas, SMU, and Texas A&M.

Oregon would've loved to get Ismael Camara back on campus one more time for an official visit, but canceling all his visits may actually work in the Ducks' favor. After visiting Eugene this Spring, Rivals' recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong predicted that Ismael Camara would commit to the Ducks.

Landing Ismael Camara would be a massive addition to this recruiting class for the Ducks as one of the best prospects in the Country. Camara ranks as a 4-star recruit in the Rivals Industry Recruiting Rankings as the 36th ranked player in the country, the 4th ranked offensive lineman in the class, and the 4th ranked player out of Texas.

Oregon has started to piece together a great offensive line class, and Camara could be the crown jewel of the haul. Adding an elite guard to a class with tackles Avery Michael and Cameron Wagner along with center Gus Corsair would be a great haul while the Ducks continue to look for a couple other pieces to build out the group.
