Traeshon Holden thrown out of Oregon-Ohio State for spitting on Davison Igbinosun

The Ducks and the Buckeyes were brawling through the second quarter as the two Big Ten powerhouses faced off in Eugene. As the game got more and more intense, players' emotions started to boil over.
Oregon wide receiver Traeshon Holden ran a deep route and was covered tightly by Ohio State defensive back Davison Igbinosun. The two players kept jarring after the play was ruled dead and it climaxed when Holden spit on his opponent.
Immediately, Igbinosun threw up his arms, questioning why Holden had just made that choice. Refs threw the flag and, just like that, Holden was called for an unsportsmanlike penatly and ejected from the game.
Football fans, of all teams, immediately shared their disappointment about Holden's actions in the top-three matchup.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning had visible disappointment on his face as he ushered Holden tot he sidelines and to the staffer who would escort him out of the stadium. As he walked through the tunnel and away from the field, Holden threw his helmet on the ground out of frustration.
The penalty resulted in the Ducks having a 2nd-and-goal attempt from the 25-yard line, instead of the 10-yard line, and Oregon was only able to pull off a field goal, instead of earning another touchdown.
The successful FG attempt by Atticus Sappington pushed the Ducks in front, 15-14, with just a few minutes remaining in the first half.
