Oregon fans know just how powerful Derrick Harmon is. Now, after his senior season with the Ducks and his performance at the 2025 NFL Combine, the rest of the nation is starting to take note, too.
On the first full day of the Combine, the defensive lineman – alongside a few of his former Oregon teammates – took the field, and almost immediately, Harmon stood out amongst the rest.
Derrick Harmon 40-yard Dash
- Attempt 1: 4.97 seconds
- Attempt 2: 4.95 seconds
On his first attempt, Harmon already looked relatively relaxed as he flew down the lane. However, his 10-yard split was far from ideal at 1.77 seconds. Yet, Harmon got across the line in under five seconds, an unofficial time that would put him within the 82nd percentile for the position.
Harmon's second attempt was two-hundredths of a second quicker to further boost his Draft stock as the Oregon star showed just how quickly he could move his 313-pound frame.

Throughout the beginning of the day, the NFL Network was excited about Harmon, especially after his 40-yard dash attempts. His massive 34 3/8-inch arm length and 10 3/8-inch hands were already notable before he ever stepped onto the field. Then, the 6-foot-4.5 Duck flew through the first drill of the day.
The NFL Network even went as far as to compare Harmon to an NFL great, Akiem Hicks who had an extremely similar build to Harmon when he competed at the 2012 NFL Combine. However, Harmon's faster attempt shaved 0.01 seconds off of Hicks' fastest 10-yard split (1.77 seconds).

Harmon is slightly smaller but also slightly quicker than the Pro Bowler pic.twitter.com/JALEIRQ67a
Harmon's measurables after his 40-yard dash attempts aligned almost perfectly with seven-time Pro Bowler and active Pittsburgh Steelers star Cam Heyward, except, once again, Harmon was quicker.
The former Oregon defensive lineman is one of the top D-Linemen in the Draft class and has been projected by many to hear his name called in the first round. Being compared to any active or former NFL star is already a massive compliment but aligning wtih Heyward and Hicks is a huge tip of the cap for Harmon.
