The Oregon Ducks played last week in New York in the Legends Tournament without the services of Freshman Dwayne Benjamin leading to two losses against Michigan and VCU. Oregon returned home for a game against Concordia on Wednesday and solid shooting inside the arc led to a big lead going into halftime. Dana Altman’s team shot twenty of twenty nine inside the line, but just one for nine outside.

Oregon was led by Joseph Young with twenty points and Elgin Cook, who shook off his foul trouble from last week to finish with nineteen points. Jordan Bell also added eleven points and ten rebounds in the win over Concordia. Dillon Brooks had his second straight double double on the season with fourteen points and eleven rebounds. Now Oregon faces their biggest test of the non-conference season.

Last season Oregon face Mississippi on the road and won in overtime 115-105. Oregon is the home team this time around and will need solid outside shooting from Young and a good inside presence on Sunday. It helps that Oregon has Benjamin back from injury and will play with the compliment of players they started the season with.

Oregon and Mississippi take the court on Sunday at 1pm Pacific Time. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the game.
