The Oregon Ducks won their third straight Pac-12 Title on Saturday night and they did it before their regular season finale with the Arizona Wildcats started. With UCLA losing to Arizona State, the Ducks were back to back to back Conference champs and they went out and wrapped up the regular season with a run ruled 15-7 win over Arizona.

Oregon broke out with a seven run first inning. Geri Ann Glasco and Lauren Lindvall provided the power, Lindvall with a three run home run. Cheridan Hawkins started in the circle for the Ducks but her command was far from perfect. She had seven strikeouts, but also gave up seven runs, a season high, on nine hits on the night. Hawkins gave up five of those with Arizona home runs. Even though Hawkins was not at her best, the Oregon Offense more than made up for it.

Nikki Udria had three hits. The bottom of the lineup keyed the win as Korl Costa, Gwen Svekis, and Lindvall had a total of eleven RBI’s, which also included eight runs. Oregon is in perfect shape entering the post season with Hawkins in the mound who is now 27-3 on the season and an offense that can attack from any spot in the lineup.

Oregon will host a Regional Round of the NCAA Tournament next weekend at Howe Field. The tournament selection show begins on Sunday night at 8pm Pacific Time on ESPNU.
