The Oregon Ducks are looking to next season’s recruiting class and may have found a key player in Chris Boucer-like Kavell Bigby-Williams.

Last week the Oregon Ducks received word from the NCAA that Chris Boucher will be granted an additional year of eligibility with the team. Yesterday Andrew Nemic from the Oregonian reminded us that the recruiting cycle never ends in College Sports and that Head Coach Dana Altman may have his finger on the pulse of another elite player and he has very similar attributes to Boucher.

Kavell Bigby-Williams is among the top athletes in the nation at the Power Forward position according to 247Sports and he has the Oregon Ducks at the top of his list. Bigby-Williams holds offers from quite a few schools throughout the country including Arizona State, Utah and USC in the Pac-12 Conference, but according to Nemic sees his best fit with the Oregon Ducks and the likelihood of playing next to Chris Boucher on the court, “I’ve spoken to Coach Altman and Coach McKenna and they plan on playing both of us at the same time, which could be really exciting and a problem for other teams if I committed to Oregon.”

While the 2015-16 team heads to the Sweet 16, potential recruits are watching to see how far the Oregon Ducks can go this year. When you can make the post season, it can help in recruiting, but to make it as far as the Oregon Ducks have this season could lead to better recruiting classes sooner rather than later to help position Oregon as an elite team in the Pac-12 Conference.

The 2016 Recruiting Class is currently ranked 14th in the Nation according to 247Sports.
