Last week the season came to an end for two Oregon Starters in Wide Receiver Devon Allen and Offensive Lineman Tyrell Crosby. Starting in place of Allen this week will be Dwayne Stanford who spoke with the media on Tuesday and is ready for the challenge, “I’d like to catch some passes and do things with it”. Alex Ofodile will be backup to Stanford and Jalen Brown also enters the lineup.
The Offensive Line will again be primarily loaded with Freshman up front, as the experience continues to grow for the youngest Offensive Line in the Pac-12. Running Back Royce Freeman was hampered for most of the game against Nebraska, but appears to be set to make a return this week against Colorado. He is listed as the Starter with Kani Benoit as backup.
Defensively, Troy Dye returns to the lineup after not playing against Nebraska. A.J. Hotchkins will also come back as Starter after suffering an injury against Virginia and not playing last weekend. Jalen Jelks may also be back on the field this week as Backup Defensive End.
The Oregon Ducks saw two pretty impressive streaks come to an end over the first three games of the season. The 17 year sellout streak at Autzen Stadium ended against UC Davis and the consecutive game streak with a passing touchdown ended against Nebraska last weekend.
