Oregon looks to shake-off a rough road loss against Baylor hosting Valparaiso on Thursday night.

The Oregon Ducks enter an interesting triangle of opponents the next few weeks that will face each other. Oregon faces Valparaiso on Thursday night, and also faces Alabama in the coming weeks. Valparaiso will also take on Alabama right after facing the Oregon Ducks.

Valparaiso comes in on a three game winning streak to begin the season with first year Head Coach Matt Lotitich. Dana Altman is in his seventh season with the Oregon Ducks and recently signed an extension through 2023.

"Last Time Out: The Oregon Ducks were held to 3 for 21 shooting from beyond the arc against Baylor in a loss. Dylan Ennis and Tyler Dorsey. There were several ‘highlight’ plays, but none that lit up the scoreboard for the Ducks. The closest they got was within 1 point of the lead, but Baylor proved to be too strong sending the Ducks to their first loss of the year."

Shane Hammink is the player to watch for the Crusaders. Last time out against Coppin State, Hammink had 23 points and was 8 for 11 shooting in a 78-58 win. The Oregon Ducks started out well, but stumbled against Baylor on Tuesday.

The Baylor Bears used a Zone Defense that Oregon could not crack in a tough early loss for the Ducks. Thursday night should give Oregon time to reset. Following the game with Valpo, the team hits the road for Hawaii and the Maui Jim Maui Invitational and will face Georgetown on Monday followed by a matchup on Tuesday with either Tennessee or Wisconsin.

In last season’s matchup it was Dillon Brooks who led the way with 26 points for the Oregon Ducks in the win, but Dana Altman may be without his Star player who is rumored to be back next week from offseason foot surgery. He could play on Thursday night. The Ducks are also looking for their 27th straight win at home.

The Oregon Ducks and Valpariaso Crusaders tipoff on Thursday night at 6pm Pacific Time from Matthew Knight Arena. The game will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network.
