Former Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota has made big strides this season in the National Football League. He was named Offensive Player of the Week after dismantling Green Bay on Sunday for a big win to get the Tennessee Titans to a 5-5 record.
The team is right in the middle of the Playoff Hunt with just over a month left in the season. Mariota has thrown 21 touchdowns this season and has gone 10 weeks without throwing a Red-Zone interception. He has led the NFL in Touchdown passes since Week 5 and is among the Elite Quarterbacks Right Now according to NFL.com.
On the season he has passed for over 2400 yards, and just 8 interceptions. He has 30 touchdowns in his NFL Career following the game against the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rogers last weekend. Mariota had a much better day than Rogers who had more passing yards, but threw two interceptions.
The NFL Draft of 2016 is paying dividends. With more than a handful of selections, Tennessee has a team that is starting to come together and more importantly play together. Health is also a key factor in their success this season.
