Oregon Ducks Dillon Brooks Named Erving Award Finalist
The Oregon Ducks open the Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday and the season accolades continue to pour in for Junior Dillon Brooks.
On Tuesday, the Oregon Small Forward was named a finalist for the Erving Award. He is one of five players Nationally recognized as one of the Best Small Forwards in the country. Brooks joins Josh Hart from Villanova and Jason Tatum of Duke among those being considered.

The season for Oregon would clearly be different of Dillon Brooks was not a member of the team. He started the season recovering from foot surgery and has turned a season into a Pac-12 winning season that has the Oregon Ducks ranked in the Top 5 Nationally and in contention for a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.
His plays during the Pac-12 Regular season included buzzer beaters at Cal and at home against UCLA in December. Dillon Brooks is averaging 15 points per game and has shown no ill effects from his foot. He is being physical, can drive the lane and get to the basket. His long range shot continues to be impressive as Oregon makes the post season push.
The Oregon Ducks open the Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday and face either Arizona or Stanford at Noon on Pac-12 Networl.
