Oregon Softball: Ducks Host Oregon Invitational At Jane Sanders Stadium
The Oregon Ducks return to Eugene 19-0 and look to add to their win total with five games in the Oregon Invitational.
Oregon comes home to Jane Sanders Stadium with the best winning streak in program history, and the best to start the season. The team is led by Freshman Starter Miranda Elish and Transfer Alexis Mack. Both were named Pac-12 Players of the Week for their respective performances last weekend in the Missouri Invitational. Mack hit over .700 last weekend and will bring her bat to Jane Sanders Stadium this weekend.

The Ducks host Hofstra, Idaho State and Pacific. The Tigers come in with the second-best record for the weekend at 10-9. The Oregon Ducks enter with all the momentum with the team hitting at .375 and Pitching holding opponents with a 1.20 ERA. I expect Elish and Sophomore Megan Kleist to get several starts this weekend.
Seven Oregon Ducks boast batting averages over .400 with five players being Starters over the first month of the season. It has been a mix of youth and experience that have Oregon undefeated. Nikki Udria leads the team with 24 RBI’s and will be one to watch this weekend. She also leads the team with hits and home runs.
Mike White and the Ducks open the weekend on Friday with a doubleheader. Oregon faces Hofstra at 3pm Pacific TIme, and Idaho State at 5:30pm PT. While there is no tv, those in the Eugene area can hear the entire weekend of Oregon Softball on 88.1 FM KWVA.
