The Oregon Ducks Volleyball team will open the season at the VERT Challenge, but this time on the road before a lackluster non-conference slate at home.

First Year Head Coach Matt Ulmer returns some key talent from last season under then Head Coach Jim Moore. Moore and his wife Stacy were let go following last season. Even though Ulmer takes over the reigns of a successful program over the last few seasons, the team begins with a tough road test in the VERT Challenge in Gainesville, Florida against Nebraska and Texas.

Oregon will open the home non-conference slate hosting two Tournaments with the Oregon Classic and Nike Invitational. The Ducks host Loyola-Marymount and Northern Illinois before welcoming Cal Poly, Wichita State, and Duquesne.

The team will then have ten days to prepare for Pac-12 Conference play and welcoming Oregon State on September 19th. The team will have 15 appearances on Pac-12 Network including the match against Cal Poly.

Oregon returns to the court led by Sophomore Ronika Stone who had a stellar 2016 season with the team. She posted 265 kills and earned Pac-12 All-Freshman Team Honors. She hit .374 for the season and helped Oregon to a third place finish in the Conference. Oregon also has power with Lindsay Vande Weide.

Vander Weide returns for her Junior season after being the only player on the roster to play in all 117 sets of the 2016 season. She had over 3 kills per set, good enough for 10th in the Pac-12. She also kept Oregon in matches averaging close to 3 digs per set.
