Oregon Football held their final scrimmage of Spring on Saturday at Autzen Stadium and the Ducks Quarterbacks made the biggest statement.

In the end, Team Yellow topped Team Green, but Justin Herbert and Tyler Shough both showed they had a clear handle on the Oregon Offense following 15 Practices this Spring. There were some touchdowns by a new face in Transfer Juwan Johnson and also Jaylon Redd. The Defense saw some stops as well with two ‘sacks’ in the game.

Late in the first half, Kayvon Thibodeaux got to Tyler Shough. Gus Cumberland also had a sack.

Team Yellow won the game 20-13 and Justin Herbert threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Shough looked impressive as well. He has taken a step from what I have seen from him since last year. For the game, he was able to throw to his target from all distances. Many times, the Receiver was not able to pull in the ball.  Shough finished 18 for 31 for 178 yards and an interception.

The Run Game also showed potential. Cyrus Habibi-Likio was able to step up in the Offense and not just be the Goal Line Scoring Machine. He led the team with 12 rushing attempts for 45 yards along with scoring a touchdown.

Transfer Wide Reciever Juwan Johnson showed his ability scoring his first Oregon Touchdown on the left side of the endzone in the first half. He finished with 3 catches for 32 yards.

The Oregon Ducks Defense under new Coordinator Andy Avalos also showed some spark. Cornerback Mykael Wright finished the Spring Scrimmage with a line that any coach would be happy with for a game. He had four solo tackles, along with 3 pass breakups, one to Juwan Johnson in the endzone, and an interception on the final play of the game.

With the Spring Game in the books, the team will now focus on Strength and Conditioning heading into the summer months. The 2019 Regular season begins against the Auburn Tigers on the road August 31st in the Advocare Classic at AT&T Stadium.
