The Oregon Ducks were unable to handle CMU in the second half on Friday night in the first round of the Southpoint Thanksgiving Shootout despite leading in the first half and another double double effort from Junior Jillian Alleyne. Oregon is now 2-2 on the season. The Ducks shot just thirty-seven percent for the game and twenty-eight percent for the second half against CMU. Several players were able put up points for Oregon.

Oregon entered the two day tournament following a loss to eleventh ranked North Carolina at Matthew Knight Arena last weekend. It was just their second game of the season.

Lexi Bando led all scorers for Oregon with eighteen, Alleyne had sixteen and Amanda Delgado added twelve. CMU is one of the favorites to win the MAC this season. Crystal Bradford put in thirty-four points for CMU, which was too much for Kelly Graves and the team to overcome. Oregon is back at it on Saturday night against American in the Southpoint Thanksgiving Shootout. Alleyne scored the majority of her points in the second half. In the first she was limited to just two points and one for two shooting.

Oregon and American will tip at 6pm Pacific Time tonight from Las Vegas.
