Oregon Ducks Open Seven Game Homestand Against Cal State Northridge
The Oregon Ducks Basketball team have had some ups and downs so far in the 2014 season. For a team that is looking to get back to the NCAA Tournament in 2014-15 they are off to a very good start. Although they have three losses to go with six wins this season, several of those losses may not hurt so much come March if they take care of business in the Pac-12 Regular season.

In their last outing, in Illinois the Oregon Ducks picked up a big road win at Illinois and now return home to Matthew Knight Arena for the next seven games in a row. It will be their biggest home stand of the season. Oregon enters the game on Wednesday ranked in the top thirty nationally in scoring(21st), thanks in part to the play of Freshman Dillon Brooks.
Brooks has started his Oregon Career off with quiet the flourish scoring in double figures in his first nine games. He is also the top Freshman scorer in the Pac-12 Conference at nearly sixteen points per game. Add that to Senior Joseph Young, who is among the National leaders in scoring and the Oregon Ducks have a good one-two punch moving forward on Offense. Defensively this year’s team is finding ways to get it done.
Rebounding entering the season was a question that has been answered by key players Jordan Bell, who ranks second in blocks in the Pac-12 Conference and a team average forty-four rebounds per game is best in the Pac-12 Conference to date. Oregon is gearing up as the team chemistry continues to build for the road ahead and a tough Pac-12 slate.
On Wednesday Night Oregon will get a look at a Cal State Northridge team off to a 3-7 start to the season. Tipoff is set for 8pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks.
