The Oregon Ducks have officially entered the ‘growing pains’ part of their season. After a solid start to the year the last few weeks have been anything but – Jillian Alleyne has found herself covered in key situations and unable to earn her points and her team mates have not been able to help. On Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena Washington came to town and started the game in an 18-5 run. The Huskies never looked back.

It was a hole that Oregon would never come out of. They would not lead the game all night. Alleyne did pick up her second straight double-double and her eighteenth on the season with eighteen points and fifteen rebounds, but Washington was better.

"We struggle a little bit with communicating. If we talked and knew where we were supposed to be in rotations, it would help so much. Sometimes I think we’re still in that learning phase and it shows on the court. It’s going to take awhile. Going from a style that was run-and-gun, go, go, go …. we’re running so many defenses, it’s kind of like back to basics for us. Once we get it down, we’ll be OK.Jillian Alleyne following the loss to the Wasinton Huskies"

The Huskies shot over fifty-eight percent in the second half to run away with 91-69 win. Kelsey Plum had thirty-five points as the Huskies led by as much as twenty-seven in the second half. The Ducks are now 8-8 on the season and 1-4 in Pac-12 Play. Oregon hosts Washington State on Sunday at 1pm Pacific Time.
