Kelly Graves is getting through to his players in his first season as Head Coach for the Oregon Ducks. When times get tough for Jillian Alleyne her teammates have learned to step up. Aside from that the team has had to take on a new style of Defense from what they were previously used to and it was on display last night as they picked up a road win over Washington State 70-69.

Jillian Alleyne had twenty points and nineteen rebounds to pace Oregon. The Ducks took a seven point lead into halftime and Alleyne was off to a hot start hitting five of eight from beyond the arc. Drea Toler played the best game of her career and had just four points, but was lights out on Defense pulling down three rebounds to go with three steals on the night. Lexi Bando had fourteen points and Katelyn Loper added ten.

Oregon did some damage in the first half thanks to the presence of Alleyne. Washington State would double and in some cases triple team her going to the basket. She found an outlet multiple times for points including a key three point shot from Lexi Bando early in the first half.

Oregon now heads to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies on Sunday at 6pm Pacific Time. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks,
