Oregon Baseball Starts 2015 Season With Win Over Hawaii
They were picked to finish second in the Pac-12 before the season began and they started the 2015 season in familiar territory. Hawaii hosted Oregon for the first game of a four game series on Friday night and the Ducks took the upper hand early in a 12-0 win over the Rainbow Warriors.

Oregon welcomed four new faces to the Starting Lineup including Phil Craig-St. Louis and Brandon Curry, who along with Freshman Matt Euruste who started the season with a leadoff homerun to begin the year. It was quite the start as three Oregon Ducks started the season a combined eight for seventeen which included seven runs scored to go with eight RBI’s and four home runs combined. Oregon was equally as good on the mound.
Cole Irvin returned to the mound following a year off from Tommy John Surgery. It was an injury he suffered before the 2014 season began. He returned to throw four innings of two hit ball and struck out four. Junior Connor Harbor filled in well in a relief role following Irvin. Oregon will look to another new face tonight.
Game two Starter David Peterson will make his season debut after giving up a shot in the Major League Baseball Draft and the Boston Red Sox. He is six foot seven and will look to build himself into the Ducks Starting Lineup for the season. Game Two starts on Saturday at 3:05pm Pacific Time
