Pac-12 Tournament: Oregon Ducks Young Hits Game Winner Against Utah
This season Oregon has leaned on Senior Joseph Young to come through in big ways. Whether it was a possession or free throws he has done just that. On the biggest stage so far this season in the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal against Utah on Friday night, he did it again. With just over a second left, Young pulled up from beyond the three point line and hit a three point shot that would win the game for the Oregon Ducks.

The game was tight all the way through with neither the Ducks or Utes getting more than six points away from each other on the night. Young had multiple opportunities including a charging call with twelve seconds left in the game where he appeared to lower his shoulder. It was one of those kind of ticky-tack call nights for Oregon when it came to the refs, but Young has taken the Oregon Ducks to the Pac-12 Title game to face a team they have yet to defeat this season in Arizona. Oregon does have history on their side.
Arizona has not won the Pac-12 Title game since 2002 and have lost the last seven times they have played. Going back to the Desert against the Wildcats from January, Oregon could have been left for dead with their season and post season hopes in the balance, but Head Coach Dana Altman has one again made Oregon a special team, possibly a team that could make a run in the NCAA Tournament. The Ducks have won twelve of their last thirteen games and a win against the Wildcats on Saturday night will certainly boost their RPI, but could give them the seeding they need in the NCAA Tournament to make that run.
Oregon and Arizona tipoff late on Saturday at 8pm Pacific Time. The game will be on ESPN.
