Bleacher Report: Marcus Mariota Could End Up Replacing Jay Cutler in Chicago
The 2015 NFL Draft is less than a month away and teams are now starting to jockey for position for one particular player. Former Oregon Ducks Quarterback Marcus Mariota has visited with several teams over the last few weeks including the Washington Redskins and the Tennessee Titans. Clearly many would be happy if he ended up in Philadelphia with his former coach Chip Kelly, but the latest news surrounding the former Oregon star has him possibly in the Windy City.

Jason Cole from Bleacher Report says that Mariota and the Chicago Bears may be a good match, “”Marcus Mariota has gained more and more traction” in some sections of the
front office and could be a possibility with their No. 7 pick if he’s still on the board.” Of course, that would likely mean moving current Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler.
Cole talks about an option that makes some sense in moving Cutler, possibly to the Tennessee Titans at the number two pick. In making a move this way the Chicago Bears would likely lose part of all of their draft picks for 2015. Another route would be to add Cutler to the mix rather than just a straight move up to get the former Oregon Ducks Quarterback. Of course, this is all speculation at this point, but I would not expect Mariota to fall out of the top ten so the chance of him landing in Philadelphia are still pretty remote, unless Chip Kelly makes a similar move to move up and wager a good part of the Eagles picks this year, and likely next year too.
The 2015 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 30th.
