Oregon Ducks Win in 10 Innings At Washington State
Oregon entered the road series against Washington State in need one thing. Wins. After a dismal month of March where the Ducks went 7-17 and an average month of April, May needed to close with a strong finish. With twelve games left Head Coach George Horton said his team may need to go in a twelve game winning streak to see the light at the end of the post season tunnel, or rather have a chance at seeing any of the lights in Omaha. The Ducks got off to a good start on Friday night, in the opener against the Huskies with an extra innings win.

Oregon added another run in the seventh to take a 2-1 lead. Ducks Reliever Cooper Stiles gave up the tying run after Starter Cole Irvin gave up a one out walk in the seventh inning. The Ducks Bullpen has been suspect of late, but the Offense saved the day.
Kyle Kasser hit a pinch hit RBI single to score Mitchell Tolman with one out giving the Ducks a 4-3 and the flood gates opened from there. Oregon needs one more win in the series to take their third straight Pac-12 Conference Series. With the victory Oregon will also have won four of their last five against Conference opponents, including a key series against Oregon State taking two of three late last month.
Oregon and Washington State will take to the field again on Saturday. The Ducks will send David Peterson to the mound. The Sunday finale is set for Noon. Both games will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
