May has arrived and with it the dawn of a new season in the National Football League. One man has dominated the headlines in the Tennessee Titans camp since his arrival. The competition with Starter Zach Mettenberger for the role and more likely appearances in the preseason, to the joy of Oregon Fans everywhere, to a year or two on the sideline learning the playbook. Patience will payoff down the road, and that may be what the Titans ultimately decide. Mariota does have the attributes and the skill, I think, to compete and compete well for the Starting job.
Adam Schein from NFL.com was following closely the start of Mini camp this week and says the former Oregon Duck has ‘star’ potential.

Accolades aside, Oregon fans know what excitement that Mariota can bring to a team. At the Professional level, there may be a few hurdles to cross, and the need to proven himself worthy of becoming the Starting Quarteback. We can hope that we get to see Mariota playing on the field in the National Football League in 2015. Fans in the Eugene area will be treated to a lot of Tennessee Titans games. Patience pays off, let’s hope for us fans, it is sooner rather than later.
