Oregon Ducks Set to Face Iowa in NCAA Tournament On Friday
The Oregon Ducks started the 2015 season in a high note in the month of February gaining confidence and climbing in the rankings, getting into the top ten in many polls. For the month of March the Ducks fell apart winning just seven of seventeen games. April was not much better and a solid month of May has Oregon in the post season and the NCAA Tournament. The Ducks fought hard the last few months to turn it around and a series win at the end of the year against the top ranked team in the Tournament, UCLA is likely what helped push them in.
Oregon won five consecutive Pac-12 Series to end the season and nine of their last ten games. If there was ever a time to start a streak, it was when they did. Mitchell Tolman has hit over .400 during the majority of the span breaking Oregon records along the way.
Oregon made a big move up in the RPI Index over the last few weeks to 62. The team is the number three seed in the regional in Springfield, Missouri and will face two seeded Iowa. The Hawkeyes come into the NCAA Tournament losing four of their last six games.
Oregon and Iowa will face off on Friday at 11am Pacific Time. The game will be on ESPN3.
