MLB Draft: Oregon Starter Cole Irvin Should To Stay in School
The Oregon Ducks 2015 season came to an end a few weeks ago against Iowa. Starting on Wednesday night, several members of the Oregon Ducks and other teams across the country may hear their names called during the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.

Although the season did not quite go as planned for Oregon with a slump in the middle before a strong finish, key members of the team may have a big decision to make on where they will play out next season, at Oregon, or in a Minor League camp for a Major League team.
Starting Pitcher Cole Irvin, along with Closer Garrett Cleavinger, and Infielders Mitchell Tolman and Scott Heineman will likely hear their names called over the next few days.
If all of these players remain at Oregon, the Ducks could have one of the top teams in the Pac-12 in 2016, with Irvin, the returning Matt Krook and David Peterson. According to GoDucks.com, it could be a ‘dream’ scenerio for Head Coach George Horton.
As far as I’m concerened the key to the pitching rotation is the return of Irvin, who with the lost season in 2014 to Tommy John Surgery has two seasons of eligibility remaining(through the 2017 season). I would hope he would return to Eugene for another year for the Oregon Ducks.
The 2015 MLB Draft begins Monday night at 8pm with the first two rounds. Rounds three through ten will playout on Tuesday and the Draft concludes on Wednesday.
