Cleavinger has played dual roles for the Oregon Ducks the last two seasons, as a starter in 2014 and the Closer in 2015. He finished 9-0 his Freshman year with a team best 1.24 ERA setting the mark for appearances as a Freshman. Last season, as a Reliever/Closer, Cleavinger finished the season 3-2 with a 3.34 REA with two saves and was a key player in the Ducks final month of the regular season. He did not allow and earnrd run in his final ten appearances and struck out sixteen in that span.
Josh Graham played on both sides of the ball for Oregon in 2015 playing catcher, designated hitter and pitcher over twenty-seven games. He finished the season with a .274 average. An Oregon player on Offense who played a key role in the 2015 season was also selected on Tuesday.
Infielder Mitchell Tolman,a junior was taken in the seventh round by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tolman ended the year with the hot bat for the Oregon Ducks and over the last three weeks of the season was hitting at just over .400 to help Oregon get into the NCAA Tournament. The Ducks won nine of their final ten games of the season and Tolman played a key part in that streak.
All three players now have until July 17th to make a pretty big decision, to move onto the next level of their careers or to remain back in school at the University of Oregon for another season to continue building and perfecting their skills for the next level.
