Eastern Washington may have lost Quarterback Vernon Adams to Oregon in the offseason, but the Golden Eagles are still looking to take the Big Sky crown in 2015 and the media on Monday believe they may be the team to take the title. The battle will be between Eastern Washington and Montana State according to the Media poll broken down by the Spokesman Review. The numbers are pretty close with MSU getting the edge on votes, but landing third in the poll.

The absence of Quarterback Vernon Adams does not appear to be an issue for the media when looking at the Golden Eagles. EWU has history on their side, going 11-3 last season and having a winning season seventeen of the last nineteen years. They also return twelve starters for 2015, including Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp, who has played two seasons with Eastern Washington and is accountable for thirty-seven touchdowns, with of course the assistance of then Signal Caller Vernon Adams. Kupp is still a key talent on the team and was named the
Preseason Offensive Player of the Year by the Media.
The Golden Eagles new Signal Caller will likely be Jordan West who showed some promise when Adams was injured last season.
West played in seven games, passed for nine touchdowns and threw for one-thousand yards in the backup role last season. The Golden Eagles will have a challenge to begin 2015 facing their former Quarterback in Adams in what will be a very loud Autzen Stadium on September 5th. (5pm Pacific Time, Pac-12 Networks)
