The story for Eastern Washington Transfer Vernon Adams continues to be evolving into it’s own ongoing saga. Earlier this month word was he did not walk did not graduate in the Spring, which was a fact. He is still set to graduate if he completes his coursework in time. The deadline date now appears to be not a few days before the start of Fall Camp, but now three days into it. The Oregon Ducks will begin Fall Camp on August 10th. Adams will not be able to begin his final season of his college, until August 13th according to a report from the Register Guard.

While you might be saying three days is not that big of a deal, I believe that it futher cements Jeff Lockie as the one to beat for the Starting Job. There have been so many delays in the process for Adams getting to Oregon. Now he just needs to get here. In a way he is, he has been living in Eugene for the last month, but without a school he cannot workout with his future teammates or even set foot on the practice field for the Oregon Ducks until he is completely enrolled in Graduate school.

There is no doubt of Vernon Adams and his dual threat skills, but he will have plenty of work to do when he arrives, specifically with building chemistry with his new teammates and coaches. We can hope at this point that when Oregon takes on Eastern Washington on September 5th that Adams is not only on the team, but plays against his former team. I will know the wait is over when is name is announced at Autzen Stadium.
