As Fall Practice concludes its first week in Eugene, the predictors are starting to look at the Pac-12 and other Conferences around the country to see what teams may make it into the second year of the College Football Playoff. The list includes

Bruce Feldman from Fox Sports

who says that the Oregon Ducks are the ones to beat in the Pac-12, given one players status. That player – Vernon Adams and it was announced on Thursday that he has joined Oregon for the upcoming season. Of course some other schools will also have something to say about the Pac-12 Conference including USC and Stanford, but the Ducks are in a good spot with Adams in the fold.

Feldman also speaks highly of UCLA and I agree. The only place they are filling is really at Quarterback, but new comber Josh Rosen could turn some heads in the South and give the USC Trojans and Quarterback Cody Kessler a run for their money in the South. Of course, the Oregon Ducks do not face UCLA during the regular season, but the Trojans will visit Autzen for the first time in several years in late November. The game could decide the Pac-12 North for Oregon with a win. Of course the two teams could meet again several weeks later in the Pac-12 Championship in Santa Clara. If the Bruins beat the Trojans it could make for an interesting month of December for all three teams.

The season is now less than a month away. Oregon begins the 2015 campaign hosting Eastern Washington at Autzen Stadium on Saturday, September 5th at 5pm Pacific time. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
