Oregon Football: Vernon Adams Passes Final Exam, Joins Ducks for 2015

More from Autzen Zoo

In a young man’s life there are important days, graduation, typically followed by the day you get married, which is followed by the day your first child is born. You get the gist. However for one young man he is stuck on the first. Quarterback Vernon Adams has been in limbo for not graduating Eastern Washington for the last few months and the Colllege Football World has taken notice.

Ultimately his transfer to Oregon came down to passing a math test scheduled for just after noon on Thursday. Pass and he can join Oregon for the upcoming season, fail and he is a man without a home for the upcoming season. Adams sent notice the day of his exam to his fans,

The exam started at 12:30pm Pacific Time and Twitter was abuzz with waiting for results till past 2:20pm Pacific time. ESPN even announced they would discuss the results Live on Sportscenter.

Another hour went by before ESPN had this listed on the Oregon Clubhouse Page:

Word came shortly after from Addicted to Quack that Adams did, in fact, pass his final exam and should join the Oregon Ducks. I would expect him to be in practice tomorrow as the buzz around Eugene will now build toward the season rather than toward of a young man passed a silly math test. Adams is officially a member of the Oregon Ducks and now the real work begins to become a leader for the team. He has a lot to do from listening to his coaches to building rapport and chemistry with his teammates. Offensive Coordinator Scott Frost must feel like a kid in a candy shop with all the weapons he has at his disposal. Expect the battle of Quarterbacks to be the storyline out of Fall camp. Lockie vs Adams will set the tone for the upcoming season.
