The Oregon Ducks are now set at Quarterback with the arrival last week of Eastern Washington Transfer Vernon Adams. One former Quarterback has decided to switch positions on the field in an attempt to see playing time.
Ty Griffin moved from Offense to Defense
earlier this week and is working on getting up to speed on the Cornerback position for the 2015 season.
Oregon has a multitude of options at the Quarterback position and with Jeff Lockie and likely Vernon Adams battling out for the starting position, Griffin will use his speed on Defense to keep pace with Defenders. To start, they are keeping things pretty basic to a man on man or cover three set.
Griffin came to Oregon as a Quarterback Recruit last season and did not play. His brother Taj Griffin joined the team for the 2015 season and will likely have an opportunity to see the field with the injury Thomas Tyner who is out for the season. The Fall Camp battle for the Running Back position will not likely be as noticed as the one for Quarterback, but the younger Griffin should find a way into the backfield fold behind likely starter Royce Freeman.
Fall Camp is ongoing for the Oregon Ducks. The 2015 Regular season begins on Saturday, September 5th as Oregon hosts Eastern Washington at Autzen Stadium(5pm Pacific Time, Pac-12 Networks)
