Quarterback Vernon Adams may have dominated the headlines, but another transfer, Junior College Transfer
could also have a signifacant impact for the upcoming season for the Oregon Ducks Defense. Moi arrived on campus and ready to for practice on Wednesday.
Moi signed with the Oregon Ducks back in February. 247Sports has Moi at six foot three and just under two-hundred fifty pounds. They consider him the third best JUCO Linebacker out of California. Last season he was a force on the Defense with eighty-tow tackles which was good enough for second most of the team.
Oregon Ducks Coach Erick Chinander recently told Tyson Alger and the Oregonian that Jonah Moi will start practicing at the Outside Linebacker position, but the position is flexible. He has the athletic ability to fit easily into the Oregon Defense.
"If he can help us, we’ll have to tailor the system to the players a bit, the guys that can really help us. If he can help us, we’ll get him in a position where he can make plays.Eric Chinander on JUCO Linebacker Jordan Moi (to the Oregonian)"
It will be interersting to watch over the next few weeks as Quarterback Vernon Adams and Linebacker Jonah Moi will have to step up their intensity in practice as they look to see the field for the Ducks in the first week of the regular season. Oregon takes on Eastern Washington on Saturday, September 5th. (5pm Pacific Time, Pac-12 Networks)
