As the Oregon Football team prepares for the upcoming season and a run to the National Championship, several 2016 commits have decided to re-evaluate their position in committing to Oregon. Last week it was 4-star Wide Receiver Theo Howard. Now, 4-Star
had decided to de-commit from the University of Oregon and reopen his recruitment.
Warner initially committed to Oregon on April 3rd and according to 247Sports, Oregon has been bounced to the second choice to BYU to pick up his services starting in 2016. He is on the list of ten schools in total, and quite a few in the Pac-12 Conference. Aside from Oregon, he holds offers from USC, Stanford, Arizona, Cal, UCLA and Utah. Notre Dame is also on his consideration list.
Troy Warner is the number ten cornerback in the country according to 247Sports and explained to the Oregonian, he is just looking to make the right decision for him.
"“I’m going to do a little bit more research and just feel some things out, then decide (on visits)”Cornerback Troy Warner (to the Oregonian) on his de-commitment from Oregon"
This is not an area where a ‘panic mode’ should be considered for the Oregon Ducks. I fully believe that Oregon is still in the mix for both of these young student athletes. These are not the only two players who have decided over the last month or so to de-commit from highly popular programs and reopen the recruiting process.
The 2015 Oregon Ducks begin the season in under two weeks on Saturday, September 5th hosting Eastern Washington. Kickoff is set for 5pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks.
