The biggest issue all along was how it was going to happen. With AT&T buying DirecTV it appears that certain hurdles have been leaped over and the three year wait is over for Pac-12 Fans.

Jon Wilner wrote in July

the takeover was a very good thing as far as getting a deal pushed to the forefront. He cited the business relationship the Pac-12 already has with AT&T as a key that could push through a deal sooner rather than later.

Wilner added his two cents about the Pac-12 Network being on DirecTV in time for the start of the college football season, which is less than two weeks away.

"The Pac12Nets on the DTV airwaves by Sept. 5 can no longer be ruled out, but nor can it be counted on.Jon Wilner discussing a deal between DirecTV and Pac-12 Network from July"

With the tinkering of the DirecTV Guide I am cautiously hopeful that this means that DirecTV subscribers like myself will have the Pac-12 Network in time for football on September 5th. The Oregon Ducks first game of the year against Eastern Washington is set for 5pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Networks.
